Things to See & Do

Iconic views and lakefront walking — Stroll Canal Park and watch ships pass under the Aerial Lift Bridge. The Duluth Lakewalk is a scenic waterfront path perfect for strolling, cycling, or watching ships on Lake Superior.


Take in panoramic scenery — Drives or overlooks like Skyline Parkway are perfect for scenic photos or sunset views. Enger Park also offers beautiful views of Duluth and Lake Superior. There’s an observation tower and trails to explore.


State parks & nature — Spend time outdoors at Split Rock Lighthouse State Park or Gooseberry Falls State Park — great for photos and hiking. The Duluth Rose Garden is a lovely garden space to wander, especially in warmer months. Jay Cooke State Park is another great place to explore that offers rugged trails, stunning waterfalls, and an iconic swinging bridge over the St. Louis River. A nature lover’s paradise just a short drive from Duluth. Lastly, Seven Bridges Road offers a scenic drive or bike ride through beautiful river valleys and forested areas.


Glensheen Mansion is a historic estate with beautiful grounds and tours of the mansion.


Great Lakes Aquarium is a waterfront aquarium with freshwater and global exhibits (“Lake Superior focus”).
